these are solid reasons, particularly the latter one. the built-in
antenna in most (if not all) cellphones really sucks.
FWIW, I recently bought a Uniden cordless phone system for my home
office. It's Bluetooth-enabled, which allows using your cellphone for
long distance calls (instead of a land line). I use it for business
and the only drawback is placement of the cellphone, e.g. finding an
area where it gets enough signal strength yet is still within
Bluetooth range of the desk station.
