[s-cars] high flow race cats?

The Meld is always a bit corrupted from what the base alloy's are.
Often there are alloy's and specific welding rods that can ensure that
the meld isn't the weak point, or post treatments that can help out too.
This is one of the reasons why 321 is a good alloy, cuz when you weld it
with 347 it's got a good weld, for corrosion and temperature.
Generically though you can say that after welding, almost regardless how
you do it, you will most likely affect the corrosion resistance. As far
as mig or tig, well you can use the same shielding gas and if anything,
although mig is harder to set up and honestly harder to get a good weld
IMHO, I could be wrong but I don't see why there would be any
difference. That is aside from a smaller heat affected zone with the
mig, cuz mig is generally more efficient.

ive also learned that you are able to mig weld stainless but that it
changes
the chemical composition of the metal and is (as from the general
description) no longer 'stainless' steel.... and as a side note, i was
also
told that stainless is a bit misunderstood by name.. its not stain proof
as
i thought, it is truly stain less as in: stains less, than other types
of
steel, then stains even less as you go up the T-scale
