Matt,
There is no difference in the "rancho" effect with 17" wheels, it still
looks awful and maybe even more so b/c yor running as lower profile tire. I
live about 50 miles NW of DC but drive there frequently and do reccomend
that you go no larger than 17" b/c of the roads around there, you are sure
to bend a 18" at some point. I have the 17" Boleros which are a OEM wheel
and run 245/40 rubber on them.
I have Eibach/Koni combo waiting to be fitted to the car sometime next week
I hope so I can provide pics of that set up soon. I made my spring/shock
decision based on the fact that I drive my S6 almost daily and use it for
work alot of the time. The Eibachs "may" provide a more compliant ride than
the H&R and do not drop the car quite as much from what I have heard hear on
this list and over at AW. I went with Koni's b/c there was a sweet GB on
them months ago and the adjustability factor, although once mounted the
adjustability isn't to adjustable. I am anxious to feel this set up but par
for the course when I get some "go-fast" parts for the Ur it decides that it
needs some OEM crap too.
Hope this helps.
