Well... to get off the subject slightly.
Most American cars slot the top of the strut mount one way, and slot the
bottom of frame plate the other way. You can see the slot on the top,
but the bottom ones are hidden (unless you look closely underneath.
Loosening the bolts a little allows you to move the strut in a range of
about 2 to 5 degrees of caster and +1.5 to - 1.5 of camber. It just seems
to me that Audi F-ed it up. We are simply missing the lower slot that
allows for caster adjustment.
A agree that the 2B plates are a good solution... but it's a lot to pay to
fix a basic engineering mistake (made by a seemingly top notch car company).
No caster adjustment. ;-( just no excuse for that.
