[s-cars] Rear Diffs: V8 torsen vs OEM S-car vacuum locker

I don't want to start a torsen debate but I do have a question that begs
 some answers:

I believe that the torsen provides better performance in the dry and wet
than our normal S-car rear diff. However, in the winter, when stuck in
deep snow, which diff would be better? The OEM Locker (and careful
throttle application so as to NOT exceed 15 mph (indicated while spinning))
or the Torsen? I am thinking the torsen design has a fatal flaw i.e. if one
of the rear wheels has zero traction (on ice), there is not enough torque
to get the torsen to work and the wheel will just spin as per a normal open
 rear diff. Right or Wrong?
