Ignition switch is normally the route of all electrical gremlins. And if you
need to change it, go to dealer for OE part only - aftermarket sux.

Subject: [s-cars] Crazy electrical issues
I'm trying to figure out some electrical gremlins and I'm thinking possible
ignition switch, but I wanted to check the list to see if I'm overlooking
something obvious.
97S6 w/ daylight headlights
Intermittent (lately, mostly not working)
Daytime headlights
Normal headlights (running/marker lights working)
Front and rear fog lights (dependent on regular headlights being on)
Blinkers
Entire climate control panel
Temp gauge
These are the only items that I have noticed that are effected. They all
are not functional at the same time or working at the same time. I have
looked for bad fuses, but have found nothing. Everything not mentioned is
working to the best of my knowledge. Things I've checked that work; brake
lights, emergency flashers, & stereo. Let me know if there is anything
significant that I should check.
All ideas appreciated.
Ken
