[s-cars] S6 Plus Taillights GP

I ordered that cord for the installation of Treser taillights on my CQ, and
the dealer had to return the cord 3 times because it came in dirty, damaged,
or otherwise unusable. I went to the body supply store down the street and
picked up 3M "Strip-Calk" which came in 60 1-foot strips and was about $9.
It is basically the same as the original goop in there, sticky black rubbery
stuff, except the strips are thinner, so you don't have massive over-run of
goo everywhere. I though I'd never need that much though, but I've found a
ton of uses for it since then... it works particularly well for interior
panels that start rattling - take them off, clean them so there's a good
sticking surface, then put a little Strip-Calk on possible body-contact
points.

This should provide a good alternative if that dealer goop doesn't work out.
