Sorry, I haven't been paying attention; however, Sean and I did the
switchblade conversion at the same time a couple of years ago. I added
an antenna that I routed around the trunk liner (I think Sean was
planning to do the same).  Anyhow, the reception of mine is strange. I
bought a switchblade off of ebay and it only works about 2-4 ft from
the car. I replaced the batteries, nothing helps. I bought a brand new
remote from the dealer (when I had my wholesale account) and it works
from 30ft. I can even activate it from inside my house, look out the
window, and make sure I locked the car. Needless to say, one of those
switchblades sits in the house while the other found a use.

Only the '97 is capable of using the switchblade keys...
