[s-cars] Boost gauge in a pod...

I routed mine through the relay box in the left hand corner of the cowl.
There is plenty of space through the box. I can't remember if I drilled an
exact size hole in the relay box to get it in there or not. I put the gauge
on the a-pillar and routed the vacuum hose up through the vent on top of the
dash.

Hmmm, sounds kinda like a recipe...

OK, so Hap is selling me a pod and gauge. Mounting the gauge pod and
the gauge in the pod won't be much of a hassle. I'd like to use a
vampire tap off of a dimmed power lead for the illumination -
suggestions? I suppose anywhere there is ground is good enough for
the ground, hmmm? BTW, it's a dual-gauge pod, and I had an idea that
an oil-pressure gauge might be useful (just thinkin'...)

For the pneumatic side - I hear that plumbing directly off the IM is
the way to go. Anyone got a BTDT for this portion - especially the
"routing from the IM through the firewall to behind the dash" part?
Kinda scary to be drilling blind holes, ya know. :)

The S-Cars.org website has a nice overview in the FAQ, but not much
technical stuff for a pod-person such as myself.

Thanks,

Eric
