S-heads,
Anyone have a pic of their tester? I tried and failed to get
any pressure in my system, so I'm hoping it's my poor
construction of the PVC stuff and not a massive leak somewhere.
After spending 30 min in the Home Depot PVC aisle I didn't
walk away with what I wanted.
I managed to find bits that I think have plugged the following:
"Y" shaped pressure hose at intake manifold/ISV valve
that small hose that connects to the valve cover near the oil
cap. I have used a hose clamp to fasten the thing I've crammed
into each of these places to stop the air.
Now for the fun part. I was hoping to find a piece of PVC
pipe that would fit INSIDE the hose that directly connects to
the MAF. That way I would be sure of a good fit because I
could use a hose clamp to seal the connection. Unfortunately I
could not find that, the 3" PVC pieces are too large to fit
inside that OEM hose. I could only find stuff that fit over
the OUTSIDE of the OEM hose, thus creating only a friction fit.
I bored a hole and placed a schrader valve in there. Filled my
compressor to 60 psi and shut it off. Set the valve to only
supply 15 psi of pressure thru the system and began.
I drained the tank without registering a blip on the boost gauge.
So I'm hoping for a pic someone has of what they used and how
they set things up. This seems so simple it's pissing me off
that I've F'ed it up.
