Ian: I have one 4A0 905 849B in my hand (black, from a Dealer, "Made in
Germany"). Its just the switch. It has nothing to do with the lock cylinder
other than the lock cylinder drives the switch. The replacement instructions
are at:

While you have your instrument cluster out, it would be a good time to
upgrade your IC bulbs to 2W ones.
