Instructions for reseting service reminder with VAG COM. Note the VAG tool
must be able to read the instrument cluster, which currently mine does not.

Here are the instructions for reprogramming the clusters on the S6 using
VAG-COM.

"Click on "Select Control Module"
Click on "17-Instruments"
Click on "Recode-07"
The top field is labeled Software Code, and yours will display 00262.

The first two digits are irrelevant.
The third digit is the country code; 2 - USA, 3 - Canada
The fourth digit is # of cylinders
The fifth digit is for type of engine; 2 - gasoline

So, change your code to 00252 and click on "Do it"."

Reprinted from a thread back in Dec 05.

Yeah, yeah...I know a lot of you have been around since 1998 and all. :-)

When I first start my car the trip odometer flashes "ln.2" until I move
a certain distance. My friend's A4 does the same. What does it mean
and how can I make it stop?

-Cheers!
Mike
