[s-cars] More on Window Problem

Hedz,

I know everyone is busy getting ready for SFest, but I was hoping to
get a hand with this new problem.

The dirver's window is stuck in the down position and won't respond to
the "up" command from the switch. All other windows work properly
from the four-switch module on the driver's armrest. Swapping wiring
harness plugs has no effect on driver's window, but driver's window
switch properly operates whatever window is plugged into it, so switch
is OK.

Yesterday, I tore the door apart to fix a latch problem, including the
carrier assembly (holds window, window parts, actuator). Upon
reassembly, window worked fine with the exception of the "one-touch"
up/down function. No sign of binding or misalignment. Window was up
and down perhaps five or six times before going non-functional in the
full-down position.

First step is to get it back up. Is there a way of "manually" raising
the window by applying a 12 V source to the motor? I have the wiring
diagram, but cannot make sense of it. Don't know the proper leads to
work with on the motor end.

Second is to "permanently" fix the problem. Was hoping to use the car
to go out of town on Thursday, so I am in a time bind.

Any and all help appreciated.

Thnx.

D.
