[s-cars] Let's talk parking brakes! : - )

93 UrS4 with inoperable parking brakes, my sharp eyes quickly
caught the fact that the RR brake cable has been cut, probably
because it has rusted.

Question, how hard is it to replace the parking brake cables, and
what else should I check? I recall reading something about the
calipers having to be repaired even on "rebuilt" units in order
to have functioning parking brake cables.

I'd rather do a through inspection so I can get all the needed parts
ahead of time.
