Teddy,
You can temporarily keep the ends up and out of harms way by using
a couple of sheet metal or short drywall screws on each side inside the
fender well fastening the liner to the bumper lip there. It will be
obvious
where the two meet. But, on long term, loosen the bumper bolts and
pull the cover forward a couple of inches and slide the ends back in the
brackets. If one is broken, they are common to the A6 and can be glued
on the bumper cover. The car bracket screws in place. I would
still use
the screws in the wheel well to supplement the bracket. This helps keep
the cover in place where a gentle nudge would otherwise pop the sides
loose.
