Eric:

I was considering upgrading from the A8 rotor to the Porsche rotor
rings, but its expensive!

BIRA hats are $450 for the pair and the rotor rings are close to $200
each, unless someone has a good (cheap) source for 993tt rotors rings,
you are looking at $850.
