Gen I drone was killer. I tried many bolt-on resonators, mufflers, etc. but
could never kill it effectively. I am a guy that loves a loud exhaust, but
this was not loud, it was like sound-based torture on the highway, drove me
insane.

There's quite a difference between Gen I and IV.

Depending on if you have the XR-1 bullet resonator or the bigger resonator,
it will be much louder.

There is a distinct resonance between about 2400 and 3200 rpm with the Gen I
that can be really annoying on the highway.

Definitely worth it to upgrade to the GenIII/IV rear section. Also the Gen
I-III Stromungs have a different wastegate pipe setup- the IV has a much
longer pipe with smoother flow.
