[s-cars] NAC: Garage floor

Ivan...
I don't have any experience with Ucoat-it. The BM product has a floor prep,
and then two coats of finish color. The 600sqft number comes from the
canister size it is sold in. I think you can get a "half-kit" but that
won't be enough for 420sqft. I would go the full kit and put it down a
little thick, or leave some unused. You should be able to find a product
for filling the cracks. I don't see why any product of that type wouldn't
work. Ask the guy in the paint store. I think you only need muriatic acid
if you have grease stains (my floor was new), again ask the paint store guy.
If your floor is relatively stain free, you may be able to get away with
only treating the stained areas with acid, then surface the floor with the
machine, vacuum the remaining dust, and start with the product.
You can't mix partial cans. As soon as the air hits it, it starts the
chemical reaction and the clock starts. And as you might expect, two "half
kits" cost more than a single "full kit".

Steve,
Sure, I like to have more details about that. Did you compare them to
UCOATIT stuff?
They say I need Ucoat and Ugloss.
Also, I'm worrying about few other things.
1. I have cracks. Ucoat sell epoxy crack filler. Does it work well?
2. Sanding machine that I will rent. Is it enough to prep floor or I still
need to do muratic acid? I prefer not...
There will be me and a helper. I may need to find somebody else if this
other stuff dries so quick.
Can't I mix it in smaller portions to do half at a time? My garage isn't
big, only 420 sq ft
Thanks,
Ivan

I know it's a good group to ask :)
Last time I did research on this topic - epoxy paint from ucoatit.com was
considered one of the best.
What's new this days?
I'm almost finished with all other garage aspects (light, heat/cool, in-wall
air line, tons of outlets) - need to order paint.
Also, where do I rent machine to sand by concrete floor? It's old and
instead of using acid I would rather sand it all to brake top layer.
Any advices appreciated.
Need to do this fast as I plan on changing S4 clutch using car lift :))
