[s-cars] Switchblade remote activating lock system to sensitive?

I have just upgraded my keyless remote to a switchblade style (3 button) remote. I read on one of these forums that the 1997 S6 uses the same system used on 98-03 A4's and A6's. And sure enough it does work fantastic. I ordered a used one from an online AutoKey store, and the remote works great. The store provided an excellent write-up on how to activate and setup the remote for the basic functions and links to other websites to add more functionality... which all worked great!
However, what I am experiencing is that the "lock" button seems to be a little too sensitive. With the switchblade remote in my pocket, with pants that are fairly baggy and the remote was the only key in the pocket... the lock gets engaged without being directly bumped or hit! This happened a number of times the other day. Normally this is not an issue as you park your car at your destination and you lock it and go on to where-ever you were going. However, the scenario of working in the garage with the car unlocked, it seems to engage, way too easily.
Has anyone ever experienced this "too sensitive" issue with their switchblade remotes before? The AutoKey store is more then willing to exchange the remote for another one. But I don't want to go through a mail-in / mail-back exchange and find out the new one is exactly the same!
Thanks,
Brent.
