While not an Audi, but another fine Duetch automobile... I have an 88 190E
with an estimated .5M KM on it.
Runs very well, body ok. Has yet to strand me, did let my daughter down on
the side of the 400 HWY. Bad Alt BRUSHES.
Now I did replace the diff, only because PO neglected the axle fluid.
Audi's are pretty strong beasts, keep up with the little things and there
should be no big things unless you want to do them.
My 92 has about 260 KM's on it, the usual mods. I really can't say it has
ever let me down.
Brakes have been an issue due to limited use, they like to be driven these
cars.
Engine has been nothing but fun, 'cept for when I first got it. Had to track
down a real bad high boost shudder.
Suspension has been fine, usual wear and tear 'cept for left front lower
control arm. The hub carrier /strut tower was replaced due to stretched hole
at the lower control arm stud.
A/C still works including the squirrel in the fan. No real serious
electrical issues.
Normal wear and tear stuff.
I am happy with what I have and would not trade it in for any other car. Now
I would add an S8 to the stable :-)
