Ah Joe,
It's OK from my point of view. If the Audi didn't have great all wheel drive and a turbo engine, I'd still be tooling around in BMWs myself. The BMWs always seem to handle better... and, they actually keep making parts for cars even AFTER they're 5 years old.
The Audi decision for me comes down to 3 points...
1) It works great in snow and ice (and I see plenty).
2) It is easy and affordable to make big power with an Audi turbo engine... particularly the I5 20v.
3) It is German
If any German manufacturer came up with a classy Evo (sorry Joe) or STi equivalent, I'd be on board. VW is getting close with the R32... they just need a turbo version.
Dave

Well, in typical Audi fashion, they fall about 100HP short of beating the new M5 that has already been released.
But, you say, the S line does not compete directly with the M line, quoting corporate jargon.
But, I say, look at the pricetags and draw your own conclusions.
Never follow, huh? Seems to me like Audi's always a step behind BMW in this regard.
Joe, stepping into concrete room with 3 hour fire rating and hoping for the best, Pizzo
