isn't audi's position that the RS cars are the ones that
compete with BMW's M cars?
audi's pricing strategy seems to be consistent with that
position. the S-cars are cheaper than the M-cars. the
S6 avant came in the $60k range while the M5 was $75k+.
you had to get an RS6 to be in the M5's price range, and
the RS6 showed up with a 450 hp twin-turbo V8 compared to
the M5's 400 hp (actually a bit less) NA V8.
the RS6 is certainly holding its value well. i was hoping
used ones would be cheaper by now.
