Antti,

Thanks for your comments. What do you think it is, if you think it's 
mechanical? Valve spring? I know this doesn't tell me anything, but the compression 
test and leak down test were all good. When I replaced all of the lifters, I 
took a good look at the springs. Perhaps I should have removed them for a closer 
look? This is still an option for a weekend project. My new water pump I 
installed is whining. It might be a good time to replace it again and warranty the 
part before it gets too far past it's original purchase date.
