[s-cars] Tat..Tat Noise in Engine

Ah, actually, I see. Its 89 RON. I forget, what does that correspond
to in RON+AKI/2?

I'm not scolding anyone, byt the way.

That said, using relatively volatile (low anti-knock properties) gas in
a car that develops 1.something times normal compression, is simply not
going to work all that well. The ideal gas law says so. Given the
small difference between the cost of 89 and 93, i feel its false
economy - especially if it exceeds the adjustment limit of the knock
sensor and damages an engine. How many $0.06/ gallon savings does it
take to buy a lower-end rebuild?

So, if RON 89 > RON+AKI/2 92, it should be fine. however, I dont get
this "alternate" thing. It either knocks or it doesnt. Knocking every
other week is still bad ;_0
