[s-cars] Was bad CPS?, now bad crank pulley and balancer confirmed

Well after a short conversation with the service advisor they agreed to do the pump for an additional hour's labor. The mechanic said that the old one did still looked 'new.' But since I only have about 6 mos left on this warranty I would kick myself if the pump went bad later down the road.

I wish I could bring them my own pump as the dealer price is $130!

Glad to hear you got it sorted, but $500 to replace the water pump? You
could get away with not changing it, but if they adjusted the belt too
tight, the pump will fail prematurely. Based on your experience with
this dealer, I wouldn't be surprised if they over tightened the t-belt.

The part is like $60 and the labour to do this at this point is maybe 15
minutes, 30 minutes tops if they have to scrape off old sealer and
that's being generous.
