Darin,

The horse may be dead, but those photos answered a question that I've had
since the beginning:
Can a failed harmonic balancer change the location of the timing mark so
that TDC isn't really TDC?
Pretty clear from those photos that the answer is "yes"

This horse may already be dead and buried but I managed to find the pics
of the failed harmonic balancer that was on my father's '93 S4.

Pretty easy to tell it was shot eh?
