[s-cars] rusty fuel lines

Yes, it is common for the fuel lines to rust under the car, especially
where they pass through the rubber hangers. Water gets trapped there and
causes them to rust. More common on cars where salt is used in the
winter.
It will start with a pinhole leak, noticeable with a fuel odour.
The simple fix is to cut out the bad section and splice in a rubber
line, using compression clamps.
Making your own lines with a flaring tool is a PITA unless you have a
good quality flaring tool, the cheapies don't work.
