I did the same as Brian but with a 3/8 socket set.  It was tedious but  
really not that bad.

think i nabbed that  sumbich with a flex joint on a short extention,,maybe
from underneath the  car even,, a little reach around with my other arm to
stabilize the wobble  joint till it slipped on.  hmmm, come to think of it, i
think that  might be one i broke a swivel joint on (1/4")..  good thing  for
craftsmans warranty and living 5 minutes away..
