Bill,
There's a reason the breather system is run that way: It needs vacuum
(from turbo inlet) in order to properly vent crankcase pressure
without foaming up the oil.  Otherwise, there's no where for the fumes
to go and gravity will keep them in the crankcase.

I suggest to find a vac source (check ferrari parts bin for electric
air pump).  I've also heard a check valve plumbed into the downpipe
works quite well.
