[s-cars] A/C strength, 93 S4

If I remember right, I just used the one schrader valve that is available
while the A/C was running. I then just added some, checked to see how cool
it was, etc. I did have a pressure gauge on it but I remember some strange
readings while in the process, but I finally figured out those readings, if
I remember correctly. It was one of those things that I only had to do once
and would probably have to stumble through it again if I had to :) I am
certain I used the one schrader valve that is in the system while it was
running to add the stuff. If I remember right it took about 1 can...maybe
1.5.

I know that this is probably not the "right" way to do it. It worked for me
with no ill effects and solved the problem.

How did you add it to the system?

I know I used Duracool on my '92 S4 3 years ago and it is still working
great. No license needed to buy and it is cheap. I just added it to the
existing R12. It mixes fine and has the same or better cooling capacity. I
hate R134 systems...the damn '01 A6 I have barely keeps up on 100+ days.

Yes, There's a valve at the compressor and another behind the fire wall
that's what my AC guy used to refill my system with, wait for it, Freeze
