What is a Freeze 12. It is a R12 alternate. The AC shop that I go,
strongly cautioned me from using any kind of alternate. He said that
he can easily get R12 and charged me $40/lb. He warned me that using
alternate might damage the system and if it does the repair bill is
just much much higher. Basically what he is saying is that there are
several alternate but the known and really tested one is the R12.
