Tim,

I recommend that you desolder the present OEM chips and then solder 
in a pair of sockets.  Be aware of the orientation of the notched end 
of the chips you remove and be sure that the new chips go in the same 
way.  Your best bet, unless you are quite comfortable with the idea 
of poking around inside a $1K computer with a hot soldering iron, is 
to locate a local technician with the expertise and to have him do the job.

I have a technician friend here who does this job frequently for me 
here in southern WV.  If you would like to use his services let me know.
