[s-cars] Was Bad CPS - Now No Compression or Spark

No compression would indicate bent valves. Either your timing belt broke
when you were playing with the STI (doubtful) or the mechanic messed up
the timing belt job. If it was the former, I'm sure someone would have
noticed the broken belt.
No spark could be the fuse at the ECU.
