you can easily buy this tool at your FLAPS. it's cheap. get the disc-style
ones, though. the cubes are hard to use because they tend to tip over.

make sure the old oil filter gasket comes off with the filter before you
install the new one. i once left the old gasket on, and installed the new
filter (with its own gasket) over it without realizing it. when i started
the engine, oil came pouring out all over the floor.

it's hard to find washers that big. 24mm? in a pinch, it's easier to
use silicone RTV or permatex gasket sealant. it worked fine for me.
