I would do them myself.
Another side note. If it's dealership (I guess not) and $100 for OEM tie rods - it may worth it as some parts like this from Wroldpac websites doesn't last long.
I don't have expierence replacing them but looking at them - seem to be very simple. You need ball joint separator tool or "fork" and then screw it out of steering rack. Probably simpler then control arms that you did.

No the $300 didn't include it. I found out about it from the shop that
was doing an alignment for me. They said they were too loose and that
they couldn't align it without replacing the tie rod ends. Alignment
was going to be another $80 on top of the $320 for the tie rod ends
bringing me to a $400 alignment. Ouch.
