[s-cars] NAC - Garage Drainage Issue - Joe?

Just before I bought my house, the PO poured a new garage floor
and put a full drainage channel in front of the garage.

It *looks* like the channel was formed from a mold. Check with
your local Home Depot or similar to see if they have a mold to do
this...and the grates to sit on top of the channel.

In my case, whoever did the work ran a 4" PVC drain underneath the
garage and out into my back yard. There's a strainer on the top
that keeps stuff out, and another at the bottom to keep animals
out. Every so often I have to clean the channel out, or it backs
up.

Anyway, this is probably the more elegant way to do it, but it
will take more time than simply creating a damn on the driveway.

Personally, I'd take the time to do it right the first
time...you're going to end up doing this way any way, and the
interim step won't work unless you really get it right.
