[s-cars] Ignition Switch Set Screws-Help Please

Fellow S-Heads,

I have most everything apart in my ignition switch replacement
attempt. I can't seem to find the correct size allen wrench to
use on the 2 set screws.  Does anyone know what size they are
supposed to be?

3mm allen wrench seems to almost fit right. 
2.5mm seems too small?

Is the Red paint on the top of the screws required to be
"picked out" more so the wrench can seat well or what? It's
hard to look inside there clearly.
