Hey!  I'm enjoying this thread on countermeasures.
I am running V1 and the Laser jammer in the S4. Trouble is this!
I am "hearing' more and more instant on Ka Band radar fired from the opposite lane.

Case in point driving a Vermont 2 lane road, nice and easy 5 MPH over, round a turn, hear the V1 blast indicating 
radar, then silenced as quick as it came on, Notice out front a Vt State Cop driving toward my direction.
I surmised I just got "measured" but since I was going slow he rolled on past. 
 
In this case that Vt State cop knew clearly  the Red S4 speed, and if I was speeding, he would have had my ass.
 
So as cool as all this chatter is about concealed V1 detectors and displays is, seems to me the more Instant on radar is deployed, the less likely we're going to detect it, in advance. 
 
Is it true Laser cannot be used at night time for detection?  Seems  hard for the officer to fix on a target after sundown?
