Once you go well past the turbo's efficiency range, I would think that you
won't be making
any more power. Also, if you have to retard timing a lot, you're going to
make negligible
gains with more boost. Of course, that is a balancing act that I'd rather
leave to people like
Mihnea who have lots of engine management experience.
