Sean,
Thanks. I stared at it for some time and nothing would budge so..... Took
a screwdriver and broke off the tabs on the old bulb holder and it came right
out - anti or counter clockwise. I'll take some pictures of it later - I'm
going to spend the next few days near Tampa. As far as symptoms go - yes I
was down to about 30% lighting on the first try. I didn't do more than two
tries as I heard that will kill the life of the good bulb. Since I'm near
Chicago and really don't need 2 good headlights I would turn on the fog lights so
I had 2 sort of headlights. I never got stopped by the cops so it must have
worked.
Yes, as far as costs go US$666. including shipping. However it took a good
6 weeks to arrive - I believe I ordered these mid-January. If you need the
part numbers let me know I have them somewhere. When I installed my
headlights the left side was noticeably cleaner than the right side so I figure the
left side might have been almost new. Hopefully this set as is will last the
life of the car.
Best,

I have the S6+ OEM xenons in my car, bought them used from ebay.de
I remember taking one apart to fix it because part of the mounting tab
was broken and it took me a while to figure out how to get the bulb
assembly out of the projector housing.
