Sean: I have just been "playing" with the "calibration factors" and I
agree with the 1.25 making more sense than 1.3. For example:
207 (Skollie) = 259 (about right for a 3.0 bar MRC chip with plenty of
safety factor and no pinging)
215 (George) = 269 (not bad for "stock", yeh, right, sounds chipped to
me)
268 (Rob) = 335 seems low given what he has and the Stromung
289 (me, Dave F) = 361 (Mihnea's chip is not as agressive as yours or
Dave L's)
297 (you, Sean D.) = 371 = as advertised
317 (Dave L.) = 396 = Uncle Bob P's agressive mapping thwarted by the
toluene, adding 26 crank hp or 20 whp.
1.3 would give numbers that just don't make sense.
1.2 wouldn't make sense either.
As a matter of interest Patrick Richard (of Subaru rally fame) was quite
impressed by our cars. The 215 that George's car put down ("stock") is
about same as they get from the stock 300 hp WRX STi's. They were REALLY
impressed by Dave L.'s car when it tried to jump out of the rollers -
three times in a row.
All these cars except Rob S's were running stock exhausts.
Dave (forget the 1.8 bar wastegate spring that screwed by ECU up the
first time on the dyno) F.
