FWIW, a better tire would've provided a bit more margin. Still, lift
throttle does tend towards oversteer of the less than pleasant kind. As for
the Pilot Sport A/S, at least according to an article in Road in Track,
there is little difference in the dry between the A/S and the Pilot Sport
summer. In the wet, the summer is a notably better performer than the A/S,
in both cornering and braking. So the compromise tends to fall in the
conditions that tend to need the most margin. Still, a decent tire with the
option that says if it drops below freezing, you'll still have a tire that
works vs. one that has gone to the glassing temp.
