That is weird- I thought the SP9000 wet traction was fantastic. I had SP9000
on my 5ktq with stock springs and Bilsteins, as well as the A4 with H&R
coilovers. I've driven SP9000 on other cars as well and I liked them, but
the sidewall is too soft to be a hardcore performance tire and the dry grip
isn't that great. There are much better tires available now. That said, I
would use them for a big car for the ride comfort and the wet performance.
The KDWS exhibited a very high level of road noise- they roared even brand
new like my old worn out AVS Sports.
I would not go for one of these max performance tires for a big car- they're
a little too uncompromising. Something like a S8 needs something smoother
and quieter. :-)
