[s-cars] Power Steering Pump

Riff,

You are making my head hurt !
You should not drive a car with a solid brake light. Look at
Audifans.com in the
FAQ section on s-cars for rebuild info. The steering should be very
stiff also if the
pump has gone south. Otherwise, I would look for a restriction in the
brake hose,
or reservoir filter. Perhaps, check the banjo fitting on the pump
for the line to the
brake accumulator, some have a small filter there. If you don't find
any metal in
the system anywhere, then the seal rebuild may be for you. I am
assuming that
since the hoses were replaced that the fluid and reservoir is clean.

Oh yeah, find that damn leak first.
