Chris...
See what you've got first. Measure your boost... run it for a week and see if you have any detonation. If everything seems OK, and the boost level isn't going too high, then MAYBE toss the spring in for giggles... and let us know when you hear the first signs of rod knock.

Gentz,
Figured out that the ECU was only seeing 8 psi (max)while the turbo was
obviously putting out considerable more.
Short story, the ECU boost feed line hooks to three lines that are
hooked together on the back of the engine. Evidently there was a
partial obstruction as the lines could be easily blown through with
what little pressure teh human moouth produces, but only allowed max 8
psi. As an interesting coincidence, this was also the place that I had
selected to pick up the boost signal for the N75 valve. Replaced these
lines and the problem is solved.
So now I am tempted to try the 1.9 bar spring just for scientific
purposes because I wonder if that caused the pinging or if the ECU/N75
only sensing max of 8 psi boost is the culprit?
Any thoughts on this?
Thabnks again!
Chris
