Thanks guys, you know when you talk about a problem it will happen to
others. Guess what opened on my way to the doctors this morning? Yep, my
sunroof.

I believe I read on Audiworld awhile back that random openings are a sign
that the battery is going? Seems to be if it opens and stays open. ( at
least checking audiworld archives)

Found this on cleaning the switch
http://forums.audiworld.com/s4s6/msgs/100990.phtml
and
http://www.s-cars.org/postnuke/modules.php?op=modload&name=FAQ&file=index&myfaq=yes&id_cat=1#32.
s-car link has a tip on how to remove the panel

Hope that helps everybody.
