[s-cars] noises, noises everywhere

While on the subject of noises, my car has developed the following little sympton. My clutch/transmission/driveline makes a rubbing/groaning noise when I release the clutch, just at the time it begins to engage and move the car (from a standstill).  The noise is the same regardless of which gear I put the car in, even reverse.  No vibration can be felt in either the shift knob or the clutch pedal.  The clutch (pressure plate and throwout bearing) and tranny were replaced 30K ago (stock clutch with Kluge 6speed).  The noise seems to be coming from the bell housing, but we all know how these things travel.

My inclination is to turn up the music and A/C, and wait until something breaks.  My obsessiveness tells me otherwise.

Any thoughts?
