consider what's important to you: size, cost, storage capacity, maps,
upgradability, etc., before you make your decision.
I own a bunch of Garmins (GPS III, GPS V, StreetPilot I, 60CS, Rinos
and 276C), a package from Teletype (for the PocketPC) and an old
SkyMap.
The most used unit is my Garmin 276. I use it exclusively on my
motorcycle (R1200GS) and it's portable enough to take in the car. It
has rechargeable batteries inside so you do not always need a power
connection. Another nice feature is that you can switch mapsets, e.g.
topo to roads, with a couple button presses. There are some nice
features for boating or aviation in this unit as well.
The 376 is similar but adds XM radio and/or weather.
