[s-cars] Portable GPS...

Hap:

Essentially, GPS devices are either street-oriented or point-oriented. 
Of course most people who want them for their car are more interested in 
the street-oriented versions, but perhaps you want to also use the 
device for things like hiking and geocaching. If so, you might need the 
more "point" oriented variety. If you've never geocached, you're missing 
out...it's big fun.

I have an older Garmin Vista that has maps loaded on it (really bitmap 
images of maps), but it can't tell you how to get to West Lafayette and 
Griswold Street. However it can easily tell you how to get to 46.6657N 
84.2662W. If I need steet directions, I plug it into my laptop and run 
Streets and Trips.
