Boy, I would hate for that to happen...As we all know these things come 
in waves and that's not a trend I am keen to start! Your car only has 
18k fewer miles than mine so (cue spooky music) YOU COULD BE NEXT! Of 
course the odometer is only one factor, YMMV, etc.

Anyway I have received numerous *very* helpful responses, so I am sure I 
will have a replacement soon. Thanks to everyone for writing; I'll get 
back to you all individually ASAP.

This list is one of the greatest resources for these cars I can imagine.
